Oh SEW crazy!!

I’ve been nesting these days with LOTS of sewing projects! And now that I’m on bed rest at 32 weeks, one of the only things I can do is SEW!

Sorry for the awful pictures, but there was no way I was going to model my new projects! That part will have to wait til AFTER I have my little guys.

First up, and what started my sewing fetish, a maternity hospital gown! Complete with snaps down the back for complete coverage, and both sleeves snap open for easy access...aka nursing ;)

Next up, nursing covers! The first one is double layered for extra warmth and coverage, and it’s made a bit larger to accommodate nursing twins. The second one is thinner for these hot summer months. Both have boning in them around the front neckline, which pops open to allow you see down without showing off any of your goods. Oh- and notice the fun pockets on the Twin Nursing Cover :) Great for a cell phone!

Next, an adorable blanket and matching diaper tote (with a wipe-able inside liner!) I’ve actually made a second tote since then, just haven’t snapped a picture yet. I made this tote to use with a stroller, so the handles snap open. It has an liner inside the main pocket and front pocket, so spills or accidents are easily cleaned up!

Next is a super fun way to keep your car clean! With 2 new babies, we needed a new car...downfall was the super light interior! So I made these kick-mats with pockets! I didn’t want my sweet little one getting the back of the seats dirty, so this will easily protect my seat backs and double as a cute little storage space for extra goodies :) I also HATE trash floating around my car, so just for fun, I made a matching trash bag!

Last are some adorable Infant Car Seat Tents as I like to call them. These “tents” easily velcro onto the handles of your infant carrier so they stay put and help protect your lil one from the sun, cold, bright lights, or GERMS! And yes, I’m having 2 boys, but I also made a girly one for a friend ;) Hopefully she doesn’t read this before I give it to her!!

Oh, and just because I had extra fabric, I made this little mini snap-on tote for our infant carrier. Not really sure what I’ll put in it yet, but it will hold a couple of diapers and a wipe case. It snaps onto the handle...or anywhere else.

I actually have about 3 more things I’ve made since taking these pictures, so I will post those soon! And hopefully I can update with some pictures of me “modeling” these cute projects once my boys have arrived :)

Also, no price points have been set for anything, since I’m not really how much “free” time I will have left! And I’m not really sure which of these projects will become products for sale on Lil Ladybug Shoppe...HOWEVER...if you are interested in anything, email me and we can discuss pricing and time frames. I’m willing to work on things until I deliver, it’s after that I can’t make promises.

Back from the dead!

For those who don’t know me personally, I’m 7 months pregnant with twin boys!! SO…needless to say, I’ve been missing-in-action just a little. I’m off work for the summer and have managed a few projects here and there. But for the most part, I’ve succumbed to my body slowly breaking down and falling apart!

Here are a few projects that I’ve done, and unfortunately, with “pregnancy brain”, I didn’t take any pictures of a few hair bows I made :(

I also have a few other projects in the works…some birth announcements, blankets, tutu’s, onesies, birthday tee’s…and possibly a new item! I’m working on a nursing cover! Something I’m very excited about since I will be *attempting* to nurse the twins! I’ll post completed pics as soon as I have them.

Pumpkin Patch

I love this time of year...not for the cold weather (not that we’ve had any!) or for the comfort foods that come with fall...but for all the cute holiday outfits and hair bows I get to dress my little girl in! So here is one of the many holiday bows :)

Christmas hair bows are in the making, along with a few special tutu orders that I can’t wait to get started on!

Bag Bling

My daughter started dance class and I needed a small tote for her tap shoes and ballet shoes. I had been on the hunt for the “perfect” bag, but just couldn’t find exactly what I wanted. So I found this cute, yet simple print bag at our local craft store. Then I decided that it would be super simple to “BLING” the bag!

I added some pink sequins, her name in embroidered iron-on letters, ribbon trim at the bottom and matching bows for the final touch! It turned out perfect! Just what I wanted!

New Bow Holders

After seeing these in a store, I knew I could add these to the line of bow holders...with your own personal touch. Of course, my daughter is my guinea pig for everything I make. So I made her initials to go in her room.

I also made these cute curly bows to match her dance outfits. Curly bows can also be custom made with any color ribbon!

This was made as a gift for my principal & his wife. They are expecting their 3rd girl….WOW! We included a gift for his 2 older daughters, and the whole set turned out adorable!

Valentine's Tutu and Onesie

I made this for a co-worker and her 3 month old daughter. She actually asked for it while she was still pregnant and we thought V-day was the perfect time for a tutu and matching heart onesie!

There was actually a matching hairbow, with a pink headband…I just forgot to snap a picture :( Hopefully I’ll get some pics of little Teagan in her outfit soon!!

Baby Shower Invites

I was so excited to make some invites for a baby shower and matching thank you cards!! I was asked to make something simple and girly…and immediately thought of this idea. There is something so sweet and innocent about pink and brown. The matching thank you cards definitely added the extra touch :)

Lil Ladybug Shoppe has been running on slow motion lately! With my recent {and sudden!} move, I haven't had time to organize my craft space. However, I did squeeze in some time to make Matti's BFFL Izzy's birthday invites. I feel in love with the minnie mouse theme and had a blast designing these invites :)

Here is the latest in the Lil Ladybug Shoppe collection....school color tutu's, initial tee's and matching hair bows! I had this special request and was so excited to get started on it! The outfit will look adorable on 2 year old Kaylee at the homecoming game! I am also in the process of making a mini version of this for 4 month old Kynleigh! Their mommies ordered these adorable outfits for their little ones to wear to Friday night games and show their school spirit! As soon as we get them in the outfits, I will post more pictures of my little models!

What better way to announce the arrival of your bundle of joy, than with a personalized Birth Announcement! Let me help you announce to family and friends that your precious little one has arrived. Coordinating Thank You cards can also be made!

Here's how it works, I'll create an announcement and email you a proof. Once you have approved the final proof, I will email you a PDF file that you will be able to upload to your computer. You can do with it as YOU wish....like send it to your local photo lab for printing or print it from home! How simple is that! If you need help printing, I can print them for you for a small additional fee.

Keep in mind, all of these designs can be used for a boy or girl. So if you see one you like in pink, but need it in blue...NO problem! All text is customizable with the font and wording of your choice.

It's never too late to start thinking about Christmas! Before you know it, Christmas will be just a few days away! So instead of sending store bought Christmas cards to your family and friends, why not send a personalized photo Christmas card?!?

These are just a few of the samples I've created. Most cards will hold up to 3 photos, however I can custom make a card with more pictures if you'd like! Text is customizable with color, wording and font choice.

These designs work just like the invitations, I will create a PDF proof and e-mail you the final proof in a high resoultion PDF file. You can upload it to any photo lab web site or print from your home computer. If you would like me to print them for you and save you the trouble, that can be done for a small additional printing fee.

If you are looking for the "perfect" birthday invitation, I can help you with that! I can custom make your invitation to match the theme of your party! It doesn't matter if you need a First Birthday or a 50th Birthday.... Coordinating Thank You cards can also be made!

Hair Bows

What little girl doesn't need a MILLION hair bows?? I started off by making them for my own princess and I'd love to make one for yours! All bows use an alligator pinch clip, you pinch one end and it opens ups. These are great for all types of hair, and will even hold the finest of hair!

Bows are all custom made with the colors/patterns of your choice. I use mostly grossgrain ribbon, and satin ribbons. The double layer bows are beautiful and really pop out. All bows are what I would consider a "medium" size and measure about 4" wide. However, I can make them as big/small as you like, with as many colors as you'd like!

Single layer bows are $2 each or $3.50 for the set...super cute for piggy tails!

Double layer bows are $3.00 each or $5.00 for the set.

When ordering, please tell me what color(s) you would like on top/bottom and the knot. If you would like a french clip instead of the alligator pinch clip, I can do that by request only.

Bow Hangers

What other way to show your daughter's bow collection than with an adorable bow hanger! These bow hangers can be custom made with your choice of wood decal and ribbon colors. The ribbon hangs approximately 36" long and can hold well over a dozen hair bows. Each bow hanger has a ring on top for easy hanging. These can be made to match and coordinate any room decor!

Bow Hangers are $6 each with a single ribbon drop. Some wood decals are large enough to hold 2 ribbon drops, and those are $7.50.

When ordering, let me know what decal you would like, and ribbon color choices.
